What is the Learning Center?

The Learning Center is an instructional service that provides academic support for UNC-Chapel Hill students. We offer both face-to-face and online coaching, as well as a collection of online resources for students and educators.

The Learning Center is administered through the College of Arts and Sciences and, along with the Writing Center, is one of several units in the Center for Student Success. What is the Learning Center’s mission?

The Learning Center shares in the University’s mission to serve as a center for scholarship, creative endeavor, and public service. We help students develop academic strategies and habits to succeed at Carolina no matter the academic context. Students visit the Learning Center when they want to improve their academic skills and/or their grades, get better at managing time, ask questions about learning differences or ADHD, understand their strengths and weaknesses, and more. Through campus conversations about learning and academics, we offer students strategies and resources to succeed at Carolina.
